Science

Science

ASA provides high quality scientific integration with outstanding science programs.

Science Philosophy: Priority of real life application and well-rounded understanding of science as it relates to technology, engineering, art, and music. ASA places high value in allowing kids to use their own creativity and innovation in the classroom. Our goal is to inspire.

Science Integration

ASA doesn’t just offer specialized science classes for our elementary and middle school students. Every day, academic standards are integrated with scientific methods, considerations, and approached. By bringing science into math, english, and all that our students do, education becomes an experience and not just a to-do list.

By bringing science into the classroom, students interact with the world in opportunities you won’t find anywhere else.

Supporting Individuality

With a hands on learning focus, students get exposure to gardening, building, and exploration through their senses.

Science & Technology

Focusing on intentional early exposure to Science and Technology, each student has their own personal chromebook that they get to use in class. Students are engaged in beginner coding and typing.

Integration

Students conduct experiments, design and build projects, explore nature and textures, engage in storytelling, solve puzzles and games, and advocate for their own learning interests.

Middle School Sciences

Electives

Students are given several elective courses each trimester. About half of a student’s courses are electives. Teachers work with students to identify what subjects or courses are of interest.

Student-advocated electives include World Building, Chess, Anatomy & Physiology, Rocketry, Dance, Book Club, and more!
