Hello ASA Elementary Families,
We wanted to let you know that there is currently an active case of covid at the elementary school. If you have not already been contacted this morning, then your student is not a close contact. However, there are a few staffing coverage issues that have affected some of our plans for this week.
1. 3rd grade MCA testing was originally scheduled for today, but that is being put on hold. So if your student was on distance learning, they do NOT need to come in. We will send out additional information as soon as we are able to schedule a new testing date/time.
2. If you were contacted this morning personally, we have some students who are potential close contacts. Those students will need to be at home on distance until they clear the close contact/quarantine protocol: https://www.health.state.mn. us/diseases/coronavirus/ schools/exguide.pdf
We will be sending out additional information as soon as it’s available. In the meantime we highly recommend families get tested, even if they aren’t showing symptoms in order to rule out asymptomatic carriers. Rates in Isanti county are on the rise and that includes among the young student population. We need everyone’s help in containing any outbreaks in order to keep the whole school from having to shift back into distance.
Thanks!
